A.frame series

Price on application

The A.frame is the lighter-weight partitioning element in the A.WORKS system. Designed to bring openness, greenery, light and acoustic comfort into your workspace, it works seamlessly alongside the A.base and A.corner, or independently with the addition of a structural post. Available in a range of skins to suit the look and function you need.

Description

The A.frame series (AF) is designed to complement the heavier partitioning of the A.base with sections that feel lighter, more open, and more considered. Whether you want to introduce a window of transparency, soften the acoustics, add a vertical garden, bring in light, or create storage, there is an A.frame skin for it. Like everything in the A.WORKS system, it is fully modular and tool-free, designed to be reconfigured as your workspace evolves.

The A.frame skin range includes:

Window (AF.504)
An acrylic panel that maintains physical and acoustic separation while keeping sight lines open and natural light flowing through the space.

Acoustic (AF.403)
Made from acoustic PET with a minimum NRC of 0.7, this skin manages sound within the space and doubles as a pinboard. It adds texture and warmth through six colour options: Empire, Flatiron, Murella, Gherkin, Beehive, and Cavalier. Custom printing and grooving is available on request.

Lightbox (AF.02.552)
An opal acrylic panel with a rear ACM backing that diffuses light softly through the frame, creating a warm, glowing effect while still providing sound reduction and physical separation.

Shelves (AF.302)
A set of five adjustable oak shelves supported by two combs, allowing for a wide range of height configurations. Tool-free to install and adjust, with shelves that lock securely into place.

Climbing Planter and Planter
Biophilic options that bring greenery directly into your partitioning layout, creating a more human and restorative work environment.

The A.frame is available in matte black or matte white powder coat. Revit families and AR files (viewable at full scale on any Apple device) are available for download to support planning and specification.

Materials Selection

• FSC or PEFC wood products, locally sourced where possible.
• Recycled and local metals where possible.
• Re-surface rather than recycle.
• Specify recycled or readily recyclable plastic throughout our designs.
• Uses materials that are tested and certified low or zero VOC. This includes E0 MDF and Red List Free Certified acoustic panels.
• Powder coating instead of wet spraying for our metals, and high build natural oil for our timber finishes.

Design for durability

• Highly durable materials are used throughout the product range for the longest possible life.
• Longer service life and a higher value at the end of life reduce likelihood of ending up as landfill
• Higher carbon materials such as Steel and Aluminum, may not be the lowest carbon option initially but A.WORKS believe this is offset by longer service life and recyclability. They are locally sourced where possible to reduce the carbon impact of the product.

Design for re-use
A.WORKS was started with a focus on re-usability. They take this approach to every level of their product range; from the re-usable Agile Wall system to their re-usable magnetic post-it notes and re-fillable whiteboard markers.

Design for recyclability
A.WORKS considered what will happen at the end of their products life when they created them. This means minimising the chance they end up in landfills through, re-sale, refurbishment, and partnerships with dedicated recyclers in NZ and Australia (Sims) so that components are sorted and recycled with as little waste as possible.
